SELF AWARE

I’m not this body
These thoughts
This skin.

I’m not what you call me
Or think of me.

I’m not your property
Do not belong to the State.

Then who am
I
What
Am
I?

I am.
I observe.

Like watching a movie on the screen.
For a moment,
I’m enthralled,
Think I am the actor
Experiencing the scene.

When the movie is over
I’m thinking
About the characters.
I really did like that movie.

I know it was just a character
Not me.

Then who am I?
Lost without a fixed state.

I would be nothing
Without this body, money
This car or home.

Homeless without a room.
Leaves me feeling empty and all alone
Fear takes over
I cannot tolerate this feeling.

I run and hide,
Escape into alcohol, drugs, sex,
Anything to elevate this feeling
Like I am about die.

I can choose to ride this wave.
Hold onto the moment.
Ground myself in the tingling in my toes.

Soon the wave subsides.
I’m a little closer to
Letting go
Of this attachment
To the body and old.

The Changing Nature of Belief

THE CHANGING NATURE OF BELIEF

Time Bodies

The Changeful and unstable nature of reality.

Why put all your trust and belief?

“I am”

“I exist”

Is all you need to identify.

Did you choose false assumptions as a kid?

“I am the body” “I am in this skin.”

Not part of your original identity,

Selected along the way

Tucked neatly in the back of your thoughts.

This attachment to the fleeting phenomenal gives rise to the

“Ego”.

Who does not exist.

It’s something you made up

As a substitute for the truth.

Like children in play.

A natural tendency to make believe,

A young mind

Not able to fully grasp the truth.

Who is this “I”?

The person we take ourselves for.

Is just an idea.

If you study and learn as a person,

You only function as a person.

Awaken to the truth.

You then start moving as the whole.

COMING INTO WHOLENESS

@ A Spiritual Retreat

I’ve come to the awareness

Of where I am,

How I got here,

The decision I made.

The actions I took.

I accept my life.

My words

Have come from a place

Inside of me.

I accept my life.

My experiences

Have been my choice.

I accept my life.

Every word

Every deed

The stories I told myself

I am responsible for.

I accept my life.

I’ve taken the task of

Coming to this life.

Every obstacle,

A test.

To bring me to the

Awareness of the Self.

A nature that has been

Silent in the background.

Watching,

Listening,

Observing,

Experiencing,

Everything thing in life.

The joy,

The sorrow,

The heartache,

Is complete!

I accept my life.

I take the lead

And guide me to…

Wholeness.

Acceptance.

Compassion for myself.

I love and accept my life!

A Source of Creative Expression, Deep Connection & Transformation

This Mandala symbolism was first created by Carl Jung a noted psychologist and he began to explore the unconscious.

Creating a Mandala is a way for a person to strengthen the connective bond between themselves and the natural world and bring into the conscious mind that which is hides where it can then be examined.

When we remove ourselves from the busyness to slow down and tune into the natural environment answers emerge.

The Oneness Life and The Environment

Seeing Life through the lens of another Culture
I find the words to name a thing

The English Language
Does not hold the imagination
Of other nations

So like a traveler
On a journey
Going to places
That helps me to understand
My life and the environment
I find myself in.

Today I looked inside myself and realize
From whence I come
I look at the place I find myself in
And wonder

I went outside
To nourish my plants
A small measure of coffee grounds
Some epsom salt for a plant that has withered
Trying to thrive

I looked at this bush and it’s roots
I went inside to get my ax
I started chopping and this bush
Which has died but still
Tries to live

I began to uncover the roots buried under ground
Each time I swung the ax
A small measure of hurt I began to release

I saw the doubt wither away
I saw the anger turn to sweat
As it appeared on my face
I wiped it away
And can continued to
Unearth the roots

The roots of my anger
The roots of my disgust
The roots of my doubt
And limiting beliefs
We’re all shattered to pieces as the lies,
Revealed themselves.
