Coming Undone

Coming Undone

Under the pseudo identity

You cling to;

Just below the surface

Is an ocean of awareness.

It’s like swimming in the ocean

As a fish

At home in the sea.

Suddenly the world opens

All pretense fade away.

What is revealed

Is a unmarked face.

A memory forgotten

A problem erased.

Your life has become

One with the sea.

No beginning,

No end

Just empty space.

Technology and Me

Interfaced with Technology
I am at home on my computer.
Whether it be a smart phone or an iPad.
It is an extension of me.
My thoughts, my action and my words are stored somewhere in
Virtual Reality.
As if someone is watching me and sending all that
I think and write.
Some look at Facebook as snooping.
I look past the most obvious
Into my own Law of Attraction.
Everything I speak into existence
Show up in my world.
There is no boogie man creeping up behind me.
I make causes with my thoughts, actions and words.
Like a boomerang it comes back to me.
As I take it into my awareness
It becomes my experience.
No one can tell me how to relate.
If it causes me trepidation
I can just let it pass by.
Like watching a wave
Rise to a crescendo
Then fall back into the ocean floor.
We are moving beyond the obvious.
Seeing clearer and deeper into the ocean.
All the marvelous and wonderful creatures
Live deep in the Sea.

Fear and Freedom

Fear and Freedom,
Which path do you take?

Which reality do you create?

We have seen how Fear lives in the heart of man.
Through violence and war
It ravages the land and…
Lives in Secrecy.

Under the cloak of Religion.
Underneath the altar boy.
Secrets it tries to hide.

In this era of Transformation,
Secrets fly out the door.
Into the open
Where they can be seen.
Casting a doubt on fear.
Clearing the air for another reality.
Forged in bowels of society.

Truth breaks free into the Open Sky.
Hoovers over Humanity.
A thousand years of prosperity.

Day 13
Mindfulness Journal

Higher Ground

We are the protagonist
Writing the “Story of our Lives.”
With blood as the ink.
We fill the page with
Sweat and tears,
Carving a path
As we move across the surface of the Earth.

Seeing the footprint left by others,
We keep a watchful eye!
But proceeding along
An authentic experience.

With firm conviction
And a lofty goal,
Step gently on the ground.

Often the way seems uncertain.
But with an internal guide
Who has an expanded vision,
Gently step onto the path
Meant for self.

Not what mother or fathers wants for you
Nor the social position
Society expects of you.

Blaze a fiery path
That burns through
Obstacles in your path.

Neither turning around
Or going back,
Those footprints have long been covered over.

You move over the horizon.
To the top of the mountain.
Seeing clearly as you coast downhill.

Be prepared to scale
Mountain upon mountain
As life always moves towards…
Higher Ground.

Day 10
May 22, 2019
Mindfulness Journal

A Transformed Reality!

The decision has been made.
The wheels are turning
Moving forward towards my destination.

Inner light is the guide.

At a high rate of speed,
I grab a hold of my seatbelt
As the wind blow hair across my face.
Blinding me for a moment.

Until familiar landmarks appear.

A gentle nudge from an old friend,
Deepens my connection to what’s real.

A light squeeze from my aunt,
Turns my heart to butter,
As I settle into the day.

A moment to reflect,
Put things in perspective.
Over fifty years on the surface of the earth.

Close my eyes,
See a different reality.

The road traveled has been my Life!!!

Day 4
Journey into Mindfulness
Forest Bathing

Mindfully walk and connect to the Earth.
Feel the solid ground beneath your feet.

Imagine an anchor rooted with trees.
Holding you firmly to the ground.

Raise your hands above your head.
Reach for the sky.

Feel the connection from Earth to Heaven.
You have just grounded yourself.

Your footsteps are left in the sand.
Turn around see where you have been.

Shake the dust off your heels.
The next step you take will be light and airy.

You now walk with a gentle gait.
Touching the earth ever so gently.

You once again glance over your shoulders.
There are no footprints in the sand.

Your body floats above the ground.
Moving you to higher places.

Left on the ground is your past.
Which begins to shatter and break apart.

The heavy burden that you used to carry.
Now lay on the ground nourishing those who follow your footpath.

You are a part of the earth.
As you live the garden on Earth will flourish and thrive.

Day 2
Journey into Mindfulness                                                                                                           A Different Perspective of Fear!

Fear, the immobilizer
Grips the Mind.
Floods the senses with panic.

Your heart races,
The Mind
Imagines
All manners of harm.

You have lost all control.

We humans
With an ancestry DNA
Feel the fear
Of long ago.

Which has been passed down
Through your genes.

Like a monkey
Trapped in a corner
He senses danger
When the
Lion is out on the prowl..

Mindfully looking at fear
With a different perspective
Brings a mindful response.

There is nothing good or bad
But thinking
Makes is so…

Transform The Hurt in Your Heart.

Transform Family Karma Through the Spoken Word

Unconditional Love is what I searched for.
Conditional Love is what I received..

Happinesses is tied to self-worth and acceptance.
Which eluded me most of my life.

I traveled the world.
Looking for Love.

Saw how family dynamics
Shaped me.

Did a 360,
Ended up at the same place.
But with a different mind-set.

Understood the pain
In my heart,

Took pen to paper
Healed With the
Spoken Word.

Created a New Reality
That accepted
Me just as I am.

Self Aware

Building a Strong Inner LIfe through Poetry & Talk, Chronicle the Black Woman's Rise, My Internal Life, New Millennium Poetry, Spiritual Awakening, Womanist Empowerment

SELF AWARE

I’m not this body
These thoughts
This skin.

I’m not what you call me
Or think of me.

I’m not your property
Do not belong to the State.

Then who am
I
What
Am
I?

I am.
I observe.

Like watching a movie on the screen.
For a moment,
I’m enthralled,
Think I am the actor
Experiencing the scene.

When the movie is over
I’m thinking
About the characters.
I really did like that movie.

I know it was just a character
Not me.

Then who am I?
Lost without a fixed state.

I would be nothing
Without this body, money
This car or home.

Homeless without a room.
Leaves me feeling empty and all alone
Fear takes over
I cannot tolerate this feeling.

I run and hide,
Escape into alcohol, drugs, sex,
Anything to elevate this feeling
Like I am about die.

I can choose to ride this wave.
Hold onto the moment.
Ground myself in the tingling in my toes.

Soon the wave subsides.
I’m a little closer to
Letting go
Of this attachment
To the body and old.

The Changing Nature of Belief

Building a Strong Inner LIfe through Poetry & Talk, Chronicle the Black Woman's Rise, Empowered Woman, New Millennium Poetry, Spiritual Awakening, Womanist Empowerment

THE CHANGING NATURE OF BELIEF

Time Bodies

The Changeful and unstable nature of reality.

pexels-photo-268533.jpeg

Why put all your trust and belief?

“I am”

“I exist”

Is all you need to identify.

Did you choose false assumptions as a kid?

“I am the body” “I am in this skin.”

Not part of your original identity,

Selected along the way

Tucked neatly in the back of your thoughts.

This attachment to the fleeting phenomenal gives rise to the

“Ego”.

Who does not exist.

It’s something you made up

As a substitute for the truth.

Like children in play.

A natural tendency to make believe,

A young mind

Not able to fully grasp the truth.

Who is this “I”?

The person we take ourselves for.

Is just an idea.

If you study and learn as a person,

You only function as a person.

Awaken to the truth.

You then start moving as the whole.
