Day 4
Journey into Mindfulness
Forest Bathing

Mindfully walk and connect to the Earth.
Feel the solid ground beneath your feet.

Imagine an anchor rooted with trees.
Holding you firmly to the ground.

Raise your hands above your head.
Reach for the sky.

Feel the connection from Earth to Heaven.
You have just grounded yourself.

Your footsteps are left in the sand.
Turn around see where you have been.

Shake the dust off your heels.
The next step you take will be light and airy.

You now walk with a gentle gait.
Touching the earth ever so gently.

You once again glance over your shoulders.
There are no footprints in the sand.

Your body floats above the ground.
Moving you to higher places.

Left on the ground is your past.
Which begins to shatter and break apart.

The heavy burden that you used to carry.
Now lay on the ground nourishing those who follow your footpath.

You are a part of the earth.
As you live the garden on Earth will flourish and thrive.

Day 2
Journey into Mindfulness                                                                                                           A Different Perspective of Fear!

Fear, the immobilizer
Grips the Mind.
Floods the senses with panic.

Your heart races,
The Mind
Imagines
All manners of harm.

You have lost all control.

We humans
With an ancestry DNA
Feel the fear
Of long ago.

Which has been passed down
Through your genes.

Like a monkey
Trapped in a corner
He senses danger
When the
Lion is out on the prowl..

Mindfully looking at fear
With a different perspective
Brings a mindful response.

There is nothing good or bad
But thinking
Makes is so…

Journey Into Mindfulness
A Daily Practice
In Poetry and Prose

Let go of the stress
Live in the moment.
Bring your awareness
To the sounds.

Focus on the hear and now.
Rather pain or pleasure
Go into the now.

Bring a loving awareness,
Do not run away
Or medicate.
Feel in.
Watch it
Like staring into the clouds.

Observe from a distance
See, hear, feel.
Awash in your senses
Makes you truly alive.

As the storm subside.
Make sense of what you’ve experienced,
With clarity and wisdom.

Learn to live in the pain
Rather that focus
On it all of the time.

A Source of Creative Expression, Deep Connection & Transformation

This Mandala symbolism was first created by Carl Jung a noted psychologist and he began to explore the unconscious.

Creating a Mandala is a way for a person to strengthen the connective bond between themselves and the natural world and bring into the conscious mind that which is hides where it can then be examined.

When we remove ourselves from the busyness to slow down and tune into the natural environment answers emerge.

The Oneness Life and The Environment

Seeing Life through the lens of another Culture
I find the words to name a thing

The English Language
Does not hold the imagination
Of other nations

So like a traveler
On a journey
Going to places
That helps me to understand
My life and the environment
I find myself in.

Today I looked inside myself and realize
From whence I come
I look at the place I find myself in
And wonder

I went outside
To nourish my plants
A small measure of coffee grounds
Some epsom salt for a plant that has withered
Trying to thrive

I looked at this bush and it’s roots
I went inside to get my ax
I started chopping and this bush
Which has died but still
Tries to live

I began to uncover the roots buried under ground
Each time I swung the ax
A small measure of hurt I began to release

I saw the doubt wither away
I saw the anger turn to sweat
As it appeared on my face
I wiped it away
And can continued to
Unearth the roots

The roots of my anger
The roots of my disgust
The roots of my doubt
And limiting beliefs
We’re all shattered to pieces as the lies,
Revealed themselves.

We are an extension of the source.

A force that aligns with!

A part of the Human Family

An unbroken chain.

Since time beginning

An invisible force

Molecules hover across ,

A vortex

Pulling intentions

In it’s wake.

Awake to your wonderous life!

Creating,

Dancing

Dreaming

Of a New World

Spinning on an invisible axis

Believe in the Magic of

Your Life.

Each day the sun rises and greet the new day,

Yesterday but a memory.

I lay awake for a moment,

Before opening my eyes.

A mood settles in me,

Like the dew on the grass.

Lifting as I become more conscious,

To reveal the cool morning crispness.

How shall I spend the day?

Empty, it is.

Except for the sensations that creep

Into my mind awakening the spirit within.

A morning spent in prayer and appreciation,

For a new day of life.

Lately, it has become difficult to face the frigid air,

My first winter in ten years.

I miss the sunshine of Florida,

The blue skies and waves washing over the beach.

I finish my prayer of appreciation,

And gratitude, vision, and peace.

I venture out into the gray morning,

My senses awash with the crisp morning air.

The wind washes over me,

Like a sheet billowing in the wind flapping between the fibers of my being.

The fresh air,

A sort of newness.

I look to the sky,

Clouds fill my vision.

Like a floating wrapping across the sky,

Keeping everything safely in place.

The winter days have left the trees bare and standing still,

In a state of calm,

I take heed and enjoy the winter of my being,

A-tuned to the nature of the day.

Allowing the cold to settle in my bones,

Strengthening my resolve amidst the cold and barren day.

Afterwards, I retreat into the warmth,

A heart filled with peace and contentment.

IE Teaches the Empowered Woman Course To Change Makers and women who do not ascribe to maintaining the status quo, who want to create a better world for children, students and all of Humanity.

She realizes she has lived in the shadow of her true self. She kept quiet because she did not want to rock the boat, be seen as an agitator, trouble maker or radical.

She knows her silence only reinforces more of the same. In 2017 the world begins to resemble the hell she fears most. She must do something lest she watch the world burn.

She searches for another way to be in the world. She has had glimpses of a greater self, evolving in the shadows, growing stronger in the dark, un-hampered by those who would destroy her spirit.

She believes in the power within to meet any resistance and transform it into something that will propel her forward on her path to the sea.

Her vast potential laying dormant, like a molecule of water that once aligns with the sea begins to crash and wash over anything in its’ wake.
