MOTHER’S DAY 2015

New Millennium Poetry

You are like a tree,

Embedded in the soil of Humanity.

Sitting on the side of the hill,

Branches swaying in the wind,

Centuries have come and gone.

You, still firmly planted on the land.

Roots spread throughout,

Holding the soil,

Trunk so strong,

Able to withstand storms, when they blow

Mighty winds have shaken your leaves,

They fall to the ground.

Bringing nutrients back to the tree.

You are the anchor,

For Humanity, strong, self-sufficient.

You will live for eternity.

On the surface of the earth.
